Thank you for the apology. As the mom to a little boy with Down syndrome who is the light of my life, I truly appreciate that you saw why your question was offensive. My son is a very bright little boy and I expect there will be times in his life that I will have to try to explain to him why people make unkind remarks, but it is gratifying to know that some people are receptive to seeing how hurtful it can really be and are big enough to step up to the plate and apologize.

My SOP (commonly used operating technique) is thumbs UP for any answer i'm getting yet when someone works truly not straightforward at stressful me i'll thumbs down yet it is an exception no longer the rule of thumb no longer the acceptable answer yet a good one
