President Bush's speech today was inspiring. I do believe that this is an important fight we are in. That Iraq and freedom for the middle east is as important as the fight to liberate Europe and Asia during WWII.. BUT, when we fought to liberate Europe and Asia, EVERYONE was in the fight, every person was mobilized to WIN. Even legislators, movies stars, congressmen's kids, senators and their kids, sports heroes, children of the elite, children of the middle class, EVERYONE WAS INVOLVED. The call to action from President Roosevelt and Truman was backed up by sacrifice by ALL AMERICANS, including Roosevelt and Trumans relatives and family. Where is the sacrifice NOW? Are President's Bush's words meant for everyone except politicians families? Or are his words meant to win an election? Again I ask, where is the sacrifice?

I believe in President Bush's remarks tonight. The question is that the rhetoric must be backed by sacrifice. Bush Sr. understood that. Does Pres Bush understand?????

Why aren't Shrub's daughters and legislators' kids in uniform?

For the same reason Shrub and many of those legislators never served themselves: cowardice. The most gung-ho about the illegal wars are chickenhawks: Shrub, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Perle, Kristol, and every neo-convict mouthpiece (Rush Limpballs, Billow Liarry, etc.).

Remember Leona Helmsley's line during her trial, "We don't pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes." You can say the same thing about US wars since the 1960s: the elite don't fight wars, it's the poor and those without "connections" who fight.

The commandeer-in-chief (not a typo), Shrub, is only concerned with lining his and his corporate friends' pockets. Their only concern is doing what they're told and following the "plan" of the Project for a New American Century. If you want to understand what they mean by a "New American Century", just think of what "Reich of a Thousand Years" meant.

The PNAC plan is to make the US the world's only superpower, not just now, but in perpetuity, by destablizing, destroying, and eliminating any competition, such as the EU, China, India and South America.

How about the attack on the World Trade Centre as a new "Pearl Harbor"? President Chimp and the others knew it was coming and did nothing, that's a proven fact:

Did you see Clinton's daughter rushing to join in service to humanity. Serving in the military is for the individual to decide and having politicians as parents does not obligate youngsters to join the service. Making political statements over national defense is inappropriate. There are politicians children in the military but that is not emphasized. We need to come together for the mutual goal of eliminating the terrorist not let them divide us because of our bad planning. Get the planners and the intelligence people to answer for their mistakes and stop blaming the politicians.

I could not stand to listen to the jerk. But I totally agree that he would have more credibility if his kids were in uniform too. They trotted Jebb's son out during the campaign but I don't think he ever enlisted.
Bush works on fear. His kids aren't in uniform because people are so afraid they will vote for him no matter what he or his family does or says.

Bush does not represent and our serve the people. He is a mere office boy to the global elite who have their own agenda, maintaining power through control of media, finance, education, the world's governments. Bush is not an American he is an illuminati, skull and cross bones fraternity, satanic warlord.

i haven't heard of any hip hop "artists", young movie actors, actresses, dizzy heiresses, or Kennedy clanspeople scrambling to enlist and fight for freedom from terrorism either,, I'm 66 yrs. old so don't bother asking why i am not in uniform, i served a long time ago in a "war" that was considered just as illegal and as unpopular as this one, but i went without question and was lucky enough to come out of it alive and in one piece..

YOU may believe in it, but W nor the Congress does!

Why, by the way, do you believe that anything good can be accomplished by bombing and killing people in their own country? Do you realize that the US went into Iraq, took out Saddam Hussein, and made things WORSE than before?

I'm confused as to what there is to believe in in this situation.
