Yes; more intelligent and well-rounded. I love to read and have an interest in various subjects.

Here's an easy test - there are many things wrong with IQ tests, SATs etc, but for most people and in most cases you are either scoring above average, below, or average. The score cards explain your results. Splitting hairs on 1260 versus 1300 wont help, but going poor/average/high should give you a good idea of where you stand in the world. Most intelligent people are keenly aware already, and this is reinforced by objective testing and data at points in our lives. 1600 on the SATs or 130 IQ doesn't make you a genius, but it's very likely you are truly above average. Which means in all likelihood, you are usually smarter than the people around you, unless you are somewhere that has an unusually high concentration - the campus of a good school , a gathering of Mensa. etc.
And by the way, knowledge does not = intelligence. There are perfectly average to slightly below MDs running around, and brilliant minds who never had the $ for college. Applying your knowledge is the mark of intelligence.

I hate when people ask questions and then dont want the full answer or they want to talk about sports or cooking and they dont want to learn at all but if something is broke or they need something built or the computer crashes they call me to deal with it but they will not take the time to learn how to do it on there own now that is why i think i am a smart individual but still not the smartest (Steven Hawkings-is the man of science) building is diffrent though because alot of good people are out there and computers probably someone being paid mad money to crank out some killer programs that knowone will ever know

I usually know more in certain areas. However, many of my friends are fluent in several languages and I struggle just to remember a few common phrases in Spanish or Russian, both of which I studied in college. Other friends have artistic talent or math skill beyond my abilities. I often seem smarter but that is because I am relatively well-educated and I have a large vocabulary in English and of course because I am actually a genius lol.

It is funny that I am reading this question today. This morning, I would have said that I had more common sense than most of my peers. Today though, I went to a class which has be thinking a little differently about the people around me.
The class was about Myer-Briggs testing, and how the analysis applies to people's thinking methods. Tomorrow, I am going to go buy a book called 'I'm not crazy, I'm just not you."

yeah I know a lot of random stuff that most people do not know about. For example you ever heard of Brunei or Surriname or care that Surriname was once run by the netherlands and this is where the king fled during WWII. I am really a dork but I like to be well rounded.

Yes, that is what people tell me, but I don't believe it. For some unknown reason a lot of people think I have a Master's degree, which I don't.
There is so much I don't know that I should know. I wish I knew much more about my religion, Catholicism. I wish I had read the Bible enough to be able to quote from it easily.
I wish I knew how to cook! raise my daughter! give my dog a haircut! I know how to write poetry, though

Absolutely, but I find that most people from my generation are maturing (mentally) much slower than normal, therefore, not taking on the natural order of knowledge. There is too much fun to be had before "adult-hood" and it's becoming more and more acceptable to take advantage of one's parents until a later age. Thus, enduring an immature, care-free lifestyle until someone clues them in...........GROW UP!!!

I work with a ton of people smarter than me and I like it that way, even though often times I feel stupid. But in general, when I'm at the store or in a class I realize I'm so stupid.

While Dr. Pierce was alive, I was happy being the Number Two IQ on this here mountain. Now I'm in first place, and I wish the boss was still around.
