Retino "A" users ?

Hi , Just read somewhere the benefits of using retino A as an age defying cream . any body who has used the same ?
Any side effects and how long one needs to use it ? general precaution etc ?

Yes, Retin A decreases the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines . After a few days, your skin will start to peel/flake in the area you've been applying it. Remember that it is essentially an acid (retinoic acid), so it can sting a bit. The old skin flakes away, revealing new, fresher skin underneath. While it does speed up the turn-over of new cells, you have to deal with the flaky/peeling skin too.
Precautions: if you have sensitive skin, it can really hurt and cause quite sever redness and flakiness.
You should NOT use any retinoic acid creams, pills, etc. if you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant, or might plan on getting pregnant in the next few months. Retin A preparations can cause SEVERE birth defects. Like extra or missing limbs and stuff---very nasty stuff to a developing fetus.

Retin A is a concentrated form of vitamin a. It is called retinol in over the counter products.
- It will help with acne, and sometimes wrinkles.
-It will speed up your cell cycle- so it will make your skin turn over faster.
-you will peel and have redness if you use it too often. Some people have allergic reactions. Don't use it if you suspect you do.
-DO NOT USE if you are pregnant or there is a possibility that you may be. Any vitamin A form during pregnancy will cause severe birth defects.

Mine is my daughter's birth and death date. I lost her last year to cancer. May she R.I.P. I haven't been on in a while. if you have sensitive skin, it can turn it red and super dry.... and it's hard to get rid of as long as you use it... but some folks have great results!
