no this is just one of many myths out there...just like your mother always telling you "never go to bed or outside with a wet head."
illnesses are caused by viruses (bacteria) or germs in the air.
so whether you have wet feet or not-if you breath in a illness-causing germ-you're gonna get sick!!

do you mean getting your feet wet and keeping them wet and then getting sick? My great grandma said so but I think if you get wet enough and stay like that long enough and get a chill then maybe but I don't think so.
But I have a friend who is deathly afraid of water, she wears gloves in the kitchen and to take a shower is totally a nightmare and it does make her phyically sick until she can dry off and get all the water off. It is the oddest thing I have ever seen

No. Illnesses are caused by viruses and bacteria. Getting wet, cold, going out with wet hair, etc. are all just old fashioned myths about getting sick.

if there is a virus or micro-organism in the water, then yes. but getting wet does not make you sick. if you get wet and cold, it does lower the body's immunity to some degree, but does n't actually cause an illness

you cannot get sick from being wet or getting wet outside.
a person gets sick from germs .. germs that are spread on surfaces that you touch and then you touch your face/nose/mouth ... or airbourne germs that get you.
you cannot get sick from going outside in the rain .. or cold .. or whatever.

huh? you can get athletes foot from shower floors that arent sterile ... anything more intense you need to ask a doctor
