She has no family members that will stay with her. She doesn't always need hospitalization, but does need help with personal care and safety along with psychological comfort. And assistance with breathing treatments and medication management..

Of the four weeks vacation I get a year, and the twelve weeks of family medical leave I get a year I have about three weeks vacation left and 15 days of fmla. I know my employer can't say anything about fmla because last year I got written up for taking so much but I turned them in to the department of Labor and they made them remove the write up. I haven't had a problem with my employer since, but sometimes i feel quilty about not showing up at work since i have a technical job that just anyone can't fill the position when I'm out. My brother quit his job to care for his wife. When my vacation pay runs out, we just live on less.

Do you want to stay married? I am serious....if you can financially afford to stay home, you should. What would you expect from her in the same situation? She definitely needs some compassion right now. If money is an issue..what options do you have? You can hire a PT caregiver during the day. You will need some time to yourself just wind down some as well. Encourage her to be as healthy as she can be and take good care of yourself also. God Bless.

About 1 1/2 yrs ago, my wife had a burst appendix. There were complications, & when she came home from the hospital, I stayed with her until we could arrange for a Public Health nurse to come by on a daily basis.
Other times , when it's just a case of the sniffles, then she's on her own.

I am a female and I would love it if my husband stayed at home when I was ill, however, we live in a real world and if I am really ill that I should be in hospital or should have gone to the doctor's and resting at home. I would however appreciate if my husband would make sure I had something to eat before leaving for work.

From the sound of your note, your wife is seriously ill and she should have professional help or she has to be in a place where she can be cared for.

YESSS. It is our moral and family obligation to take proper care ofour wife when espcially she is alone at hom. We must stay at home and give proper meds to her and also afford to her peace of mind by proper and psychological suggestions. She is your wife and rather better - half. She is a daughter of some one and when she is under you control you are morally bound to take proper care and stay home during her illness.

as long as it does not interfere with your work. You need to make sure that you have a job as well as take care of your wife. Both have an important role in your life!
