If you're looking at Network Marketing in the area of home based businesses...almost all of them require some amount of start up fee which assists you, getting products or business tools to get you started right away. Usually they're low start up fees anywhere from around $50-200. Some are higher, depends on who you're going with and where you're wanting to start at.
However you should check with the BBB (better business bureau) for legitimacy and ill complaints, ratings and praises of any company you're looking at. I found a great opportunity that now allows me to work at home at http://www.bedavis1.mywayout.net/... and this is a brand new situation with a new division of a billion-dollar international company that is listed on the New York Stock exchange. I also
read the book by Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad) "The Business School". He says this is the way to go to get on the other side of the cash flow quadrant! A must read book on whatever you decide!

Good luck on your endeavor!
