I've never heard of that before but it sounds like an interesting theory.

You are just changing to fit your environment, the people you hang with, your path in your career or job, etc. We all grow emotionally and witht that our needs change. We become accustom to things, and yearn for new things in our life. Also, our experience, bad and good drive us into new directions. I am glad this happens. Can you imagine life always the same, every day, you never grow or want new things. I think that is why we change careers, sometimes cheat on our spouses or find new friends, move, and even have our little "mid-life crises".

I think the person you are depends alot on where you are in life and what you are doing at that point. I don't know whether it is exactly seven years for everybody but after about 7 years the focus in a person's life usually shifts. For instance, at 21 one may be concerned with school and partying but at 28 one is concerned about his job and perhpas thinks about starting his own family. Therefore, I believe that a shift in the focus in one's life accentuates differents portions of a person personality. AT younger ages we all have different capacities of being mature but they don't kick in until we are at stage in our life the requires that aspect.
Additionally, I think are certain intrinsic features that may never change regardless of how old you get. Your sense of humor or your taste in food for instance may remain the same.

Your body cells are constantly dieing and being replaced. Seven years is about how long it takes for all of them to die and be replaced. (Some are slower than others) That of course is an average, so every seven years all of your cells are different than the ones from before.
Get it?

not in the sense that you seem to mean . yes it takes even years for the newer cells to reach the top surface of the skin. but you are still the same person with different experiences.

After seven years missing, an individual can be declared legally dead.......in that sense, not only do you become a different person, you become fertilizer!

I really hope that is true after the dysfunctional awful life I've led. My father and grandmother died six days apart. I could write a book on how horrible my life is. My belief in religion is why they have disowned me.
