Get rid of any alcohol you have in your home, and don't buy any more. If you go out with friends, offer to be the designated driver. Think about the adverse affects that alcohol has on the body. There are a lot of websites that can give you that kind of information. And finally, Alcoholics Anonymous can help if you need it, you don't have to be a "drunk" to want help.

Join AA and just try to stop getting alcohol at the store, I know it is hard to do but if you are willing to quit then it shouldn't be to hard for you. Just take it one day at a time and Good Luck. I will be praying for you

Depeding on how much you are drinking each day, I would suggest doing it safely at a hospital facility where they can make sure you don't seize.

if you are not a drunk, then it should not be too hard...Just dont have any alcohol, and stay out of bars... and i applaud you for reaching that decision...i am in college and i know that alcohol usually only has a negative impact.. i try not to drink too much, but i have some every now and then...

i had to quit cold turkey and i loved to drink. i went to the bar mon-fri from 8am-3pm everyday. then my health was getting bad and i just gave it up. my life is to important. it doesn't bother me one bit when i go to the bar anymore. good luck to you. i know you can do it.

do it, but get emotional support like aa or a family member or both and find something to keep you busy so you dont have much time to dwell on the loss of drinking.

you have to keep away from the stores and do not have nay alcohol in the house. Tea is always good. Going to bed earlier.
