The Mayflower compact was written aboard the ship Mayflower on the way to Plymouth Rock-to maintain order in the colony in 1620 AD--the Magna Carta was written in England in the year 1215 AD--your teacher is correct.

Whether it was effectual or not, the agreement drawn up and signed by the original colonists was called the Mayflower Compact.

I don't know, but if your teacher says it was the Mayflower Compact he/she is wrong. And I expect they will say that. Let them know that Mr. Curious said they are incorrect. It did no such thing.
