If you are considering art school then the only viable career is advertising / marketing. Reason being very few artists less than 1% can make a living as an artist and most fund their art by taking jobs that usually pay about minimum wage due to the fact art degrees are not employable. Law school will open up a lot of opportunities for you but it will take 7 years of you life studying. Since you are not passionate about law then it really is not worth pursuing.

Well, i love to draw too, n not bad at it. But if u go to the art school, u can b an artist, but gud money in it? Yea, either a really gud money, or a total broke. Its risky, and not promising. Maybe u shud take a degree in sumthin wit more security 1st, then, u can go to the art school. That way, at least u got a backup plan.. Or, u could take an engineering course like me, where yer talent in art could be useful in designing stuff, instead of wasting it.

My ex brother in law made money here and there. He tried a comic strip, but it didn't do any good. He worked for a company called Baroni Cosmetics doing there artwork for adds and stuff. He done a few portraits for people. He done wood burning and glass etching. And the thing that he was most successful at was tattooing. He was a great artist and I really wish he could have made it big. I guess it just depends on how far you want to go. I don't think he was really serious about getting anywhere with it myself. But if this is what you want to do you could give it a try. Good luck.

You are better off if a job that may not pay as much as youd like but you really enjoy; than a job that pays a lot but you hate. There are ways to make money in any endeavor as long as you work hard and have the proper drive and motivation. There are many art school grads making plenty of cash working for advertising firms, computer companies, and online services. You should really expand to computer graphic design as well as print work if you want to have more options when you graduate.

Do what you love and the money will follow. It is more about getting an education anyway, unless you want to do something specific. I have a degree in Fine arts, and make 6 figures, so it is possible.

there is money in graphics, money in the art industry for advertising, music, etc. expanding into photography helps. learning computer graphics and art, expanding into anime, architecture, that opens up a lot of fields. you need to be diverse.
