I was in school, in 8th grade and I think I was about 13. My junior high school was located downtown, we heard the first plane hit and didn't think anything of it because we didn't know what happened. It sounded like thunder and we thought it was odd since it was a sunny day.

Then we heard the news...it all became real when we heard sirens rushing further downtown and the huge, gaping hole left from the first plane in one of the hall windows. School was crazy, hundreds of parents ran to school to pick up their kids and they had to wait in the auditorium for us to go in there and identify them. My house is closer to Ground Zero than the school and there was all this disgusting smelling black smoke.

Five years ago. What an amazing thing, that five years ago this happened. I was 50 years old. I can still remember watching the news, seeing the planes fly into the building over and over and over. How did they do this...how could anyone think up such an incredibly complicated, brilliantly evil plan, using our own airplanes against us. Our own freedom of travel, our trust, our open borders, against us.

I am grateful I believe in God. Because He says in His word, "fret not the evildoers.....God laughs at the wicked; He knows their time is coming".

i was in high school...i remember it so well ...i can't believe 5 years have gone by so fast ...i mean i can tell i still think about it pretty often..i mean people just went to work and they thought they were coming home...can't believe it...we were in class when my teacher came in all crying...she told us the whole story...stupid people started joking around..i couldn't believe it ...then my teacher brought her old radio in class and we started listening to the news...reporters screaming 'o my god another plane..o my god it's falling'..i remember her crying so well ...and as for me, i m very emotional, but at that moment, i just could not believe it ...i think i was in shock or something ...

anyway, it's a sad topic...and today, i took a little shot of wine for all the people that had to go thru this...it's bad enough to die...but it's even worse to go thru what they had to go thru...and all those last phone calls they kept showing on the news...it's not just heartbreaking...it's something i can't even express in words...
