Vitamin B-3 is made up of niacin (nicotinic acid) and its amide, niacinamide, and can be found in many foods, including yeast, meat, fish, milk, eggs, green vegetables, and cereal grains. Dietary tryptophan is also converted to niacin in the body. Vitamin B-3 is often found in combination with other B vitamins including thiamine, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, cyanocobalamin, and folic acid.
Its benefits include:
Lowers Cholesterol & Triglyceride Levels (Niacin)
Prevents / Treats Diabetes (Niacinamide)
Improves Circulation (Inositol Hexaniacinate)
Relieves Arthritis (Niacinamide)

Niacin when taken produces a flushing effect and heat that can be uncomfortable for people but it only last about 5 minutes niacinamide is what you re body converts the niacin in to by taking this extra step the effect of flushing is bypass but the properties are different .Niacin is use for high cholesterol triglycerides depression blood circulation and to treat Lp levels .Niacinamide is not as beneficial is use for depression and for arthritis it increases the range of motion in joints and flexibility reduces stiffness in doses higher than 500 mg a day

Chemically niacinamide is the amide of niacin, niacin is nicotinic acid.
They both have the same vitamin properties and utility and niacin is converted to niacinamide in the body.
Niacin, however differs from its amide in that it can lower triglycerides and cholesterol in the plasma, whereas niacinamide cannot, it also tends to cause more facial flushing and more gastric upset. Niacin can cause liver problems, just like other cholestrol lowering agents when taken in effective doses.

a slight variation of the chemical structure. They are both b vitamins. One causes flushing more than the other. Niacin is also called nicotinic acid.
