We only live one block from her school,but they say because of how crowded her school is she will have to go to another school.

Personally, I wouldn't want my child to be stuck in an overcrowded school where she probably won't get the kind of individual attention that helps a child learn. I know that a long bus ride is rough, too, so I can sympathize with you.
One possibility is to go to your family doctor and ask him to write a note to the school district if there are some good reasons why the long bus ride would be harmful to her. Chances are that he can think of a reason why she shouldn't spend that much time on the bus.
And even if he doesn't have any ideas along those lines, you can always appeal the decision to the school board. Talk to the principal, the head of the school board, your local school board rep -- just keep on trying.

Hand deliver a letter to the school principal ; if that fails -Call the administrator direct ; or the school board members until you get results . Tell them why this is a hardship for you & your child .

Not much you can do. This helps make the Teachers work easier. The children riding around on the bus not have to be taught.

wouldn't you prefer to have your daughter bussed to a school with a smaller class size and more individual attention than fight to keeping her in a school that is already over-populated and unable to keep up with the individual needs of its students?
