Read, Read, Read
You need alot of info, before you can attempt to hack / crack around. All major companies hire hackers for their vulnerability tests ... But as any hacker will tell you, your not going to get from a to z without reading b,c,d,e,f....

First of all, all you misguided souls are wrong. Hacking is not bad at all, it CREATED the inernet, as well as the Linux/Unix operating systems. This nieve child probably means a cracker. Crackers, also known as hackers in our modern day, are the real source of trouble. They destroy source code, steal programs, and break into PC's. Hackers simply look at source code and try to break into it for the sake of learning. They also create many programs to help people out. If you would like to learn how to become a HACKER a good reference is
www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/hacker-howto.html If you would like to be a CRACKER, I cannot and will not help you. Crackers are destructive to the computer world. Hackers are welcome and great people.
