Yes, I do. I raised 3 children alone after my divorce when they were 13, 9 and 6 without child support and without going on welfare. There were times when I didn't have enough money to catch the bus to work so I walked and I was lucky enough to have a job at the time where I could do that.
I managed to feed, clothe, parent my children, be very present in their lives, discipline them and make sure they knew I loved them so that they are all 3 wonderful, successful adults now. I've owned my own business; decided it wasn't for me, changed careers and kept progressing until making a nice 6 figure salary and working a job that allows me to further my dream of traveling the world - without the advantage of a college degree ( although I counsel young people all the time to get that piece of paper).
I've learned a lot about who I am and what I'm capable of by overcoming lots of obstacles and hurdles both in my personal and my professional life. The best compliment I received though was not about the work I do but came from my own mother who said "You're a wonderful mother and you've raised wonderful children and I'm proud of you." I feel like I am who I am because of her example - great work ethic, loves her children unconditionally. I
've learned over the years how important my family is and that they mean everything to me and also what real friendship is and that it's not how many friends you have but the quality and the care you put into your friendships. I have just two really close friends who I know would be there for me and I for them in a heartbeat.
I've traveled all over the world - a dream I used to have when I was a young, single parent, wondering if I could ever make it come true and it finally did right after my children left the nest. I've been to places I never thought I'd see and met the most interesting people. The places and the people have totally given me a different perspective on the world and the experiences I've had helps me make the distinction between what is real and what is media bullsh*t and government propaganda.
So, I think that's a lot packed into my 52 years.

I have accomplished a lot in my life, I have achieved many of my goals plus somethings that I never thought I would ever get to do, and I have my kids now, but I don't think that I am done, I can still think of lots of things that I want to do with my life.

In love - yes. I have found the best I could ever wish for.
In a career - no. I still have to find a steady job, and buy a house.
