I feel as though.....9 /11...should "not be" a celibrated holiday....but
"should be......a national-day of mourning".......in rememberance of that horrible day....and devistation to our families, homes, our beliefes, our way of "free-live", for those innocent lives that were
taken....so unnecessarily.....what is your opinion.....remember that now our freedom has been threatned throughout the entire globe...

check out my "atavar".....it tells my story......

I don't think that's an event to be celebrated. Like Pearl Harbor, December 7th was never a Holiday

I certainly don't think we should call it "Patriot Day" like it is on my calendar. Call it "Rememberance Day" or something. "Patriot Day" sounds like a weekend retail sale. I think Sept. 11th should be nationally marked as a day to remember, so that we never forget, but I don't think we need to be playing back all the footage from that day or beating dead horses. Let's honor the victims by figuring out how to keep it from happening again.

No.
We already have Memorial Day to honor those who lost their lives, and Veteran's Day to honor those who serve now.
Besides, every holiday we get, the Bush administration goes on about 9-11. It's like their record is stuck. So why give them one more day as an official platform?

Odd, I just had this same thought, today. Not that I need time to mourn or anything, I'd just like a three day weekend.

Maybe, I would just hate for it to turn into "labor day" where half the people don't even know why we're "celebrating"

I think it should be like labor day where nothing is open. Cool idea huh.

let's make every day a holiday.
that was sarcasm, and i know it sounds cruel.
i'm sorry that it happened, but i don't think we should make it into a holiday. that just seems wrong to me.
that's my opinion; please don't hate me for it.
