racist questions .... especially the so-called WHITES?

I read daily questions about the so-called "white-people" .... white is a colour - NOT A RACE OF PEOPLE - what land did these white people come from ? are you ashamed of who you are and where you originate ? did your parents not tell you what you are ? your grandparents ? is it a secret as to what you really are ? i don't understand how you can dismiss your culture and heritage ... should i take a trip to germany and have a child there - the child would not be german ... he would be native american indian .. like his mother ... and his grandmother and great grandmother ..... i love my culture and heritage ... and am proud to me who i am .... where is your pride in who you are ? i am "american" ! ..... really .... someone please enlighten me ... i must have missed that day at school when the teacher taught of this land where "white-people" come from .... is it on this planet ?

Good answers ... for far we have Irish, English, German, Europeon and yes I am North American as dubbed your government ... when i travel my card states "North American" ... because that is my homeland ... thank you for responding ... i do not have to read my history .. the Elders teach me who I am ... your history is in books .. and the books change dependent on who is writing them .. the history is never the same .. my history is always the same .. there are many, many of my peoples still here in our homeland ...

i was not angry when writing this post ... just curious as to who the "white people" are and where they came from ... the colour/shade of your skin makes you who you are by a majority ... i am sure your ancestors would agree with that

Then you are actualy mongolian.... why do you not celibrate the true culture you came from...befor your ancestors invaded this continent... better yet why don't you celibrate the culture of The country you were born into...Drop the "native" ego trip... I too am a "native" American... I was born here too... I can not help it if your ancestors lost the war to my ancestors.. You are either an American or you are not...If you are not then go back to mongolia where you came from...I have no claim on the title of German, Dutch or Welch... those are where my "ancestors came from... Wow, what is with all of the anger? Some people want to cling to thier cultural heritage...some want to cling to their country's heritage. Since America is a culmination of many different races and heritages, I like many other white people, since I was born here, say that I am american. Besides, I don't want to tell everyone that I have Sweedish, Irish, Crow Indian, and German heritage. That makes me sound fractured, and I am not. I am the product of the dream that is America. I am truly American, and THAT is the heritage that I am PROUD OF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, this is a long one to answer.

White is not a color. ;)

Saying a person is white is simply stating that you really are not able to clearly state what they are ethnically, other than they are of European descent.

In many cases Whites in America, and even in Europe, can not trace their roots to a single country/ethnicity because there was alot intermarriage of different European ethnicities.

I would say a person is White if 3/4 of them are of European descent, and if they can not trace their ethnicity to a single country, ethnic group or culture.

Take me for example. I was born in the USA, my mother is Korean and my father is White, both are American. My grandfather is from Germany, but he is not ethinically German. My great grandfather is from Netherlands, but he is not Dutch. My greatx2 grandfather was from Denmark, but he is not Danish. And that does not account for where my grandmothers were from America (Native American), Germany, Sweden.

You saying you are Native American, which may mean that you can not say your are of a specific tribe/nation. There were many tribes/nations and it may be that you can trace your heritage to several of them, but you can not say you are simply one of them. So, you simply tell people you are Native American... just like my dad would say he is White.

Well my parents told me that I am English, Scotch-Irish and Native American. The fact the my skin color is light is irrelevant because I swim in the gene pool that is humanity. The whole concept of a caste system based on skin color or place of birth or even our genetic linage is fascist indeed.
