I can run 1/2 mile, almost exactly, within 5 minutes. I will be 40 in a couple weeks, have 3 children, have not seriously worked out in 5 years, and have not run for pleasure in 15. (BTW I am technically obese- size 22 at 5'5".)
5 years ago (age 35), I could run approximately 5/8 of a mile within 5 minutes. (I was technically overweight- size 12, I had given birth to all 3 children.)
15 years ago (age 25), I could run 7/8 of a mile (and occasionally a fulll mile) within 5 minutes. (I was technically at my supposed prime weight- size 4, and no kids.)

A half a mile or a little more. I am 37 years old and can do a 8-10 minute mile depending on how I feel that day.

I'm overweight, so I can only run to the fridge and back in five minutes. You know, to get more food. Because I'm so fat.
