You don't have a right to anything you didn't earn through hard work. So get a job. A government of beggars and thieves trying to steal from the rich and give to the poor is a recipe for disaster.

Adults have the RIGHT to make their own decisions.
If they want a cell phone and can pay for then YES, they have the RIGHT to have a cell phone

Absolutely. When you are old enough to pay the bills perhaps you can have the RIGHT too. In the meantime, a cell phone is a distraction from what is important in life. Enjoy being a kid. It only comes once in a life time. Once you reach adulthood, there's no going back.

Like it is the other way around. Children have no right to one. It is a parental privilege to let them have one and when they get "grounded" one of the first things to go (for a girl) is her cell phone. For a boy, it is his PSP.

more than the punk kids who run up there minites and cry to mommy and daddy to pay for the bill. If you do not have a job or make money to pay for your own phone than you should not have one.
