It was fun in it's time.
When the broadband boom happened a lot of people were just enjoying the instant connection .. and of course that included sex.
But, that was years ago and we don't encounter people who are exploring that as a first option anymore.
My experience in text-based cybering is that the natural lag in serving up the next line is the key in anticipation which makes it fun. You type like a fiend but the next line is not immediate!
It was silly and fun and with complete strangers who'd send a picture and want to just get off. And, mostly, I'm glad it was a cultural blip that has come and gone, every pun intended.

Basically you say creativly everything you'd do or whatever you want to do but maybe wouldnt do in real life. Theres entire chatrooms etc dedicated to it. Try it if you like its generally harmless flirting.
