How could they not get to the playoffs with the way that they're playing?!?! They have a legit chance to take over the division lead by season's end with the way that the Tigers are playing. Whiote Sox are out, so you don't have to worry about them, and with Liriano, the rookie of the year coming back within the next week, it's a done deal. It's gonna be the Twins and the Yankees in the Pennant.

I do believe the Twins are going to make the playoffs. The White Sox lineup has started to sputter lately, and Thome's injury from last year will likely slow him down again in the cooler months as started to this summer.

However, the Twins are relatively inexperienced when it comes to post-season play. Mauer and Morneau both can carry any team in baseball, and Santana is a possible CY Young or even an MVP candidate (nice piece of trivia, Roger Clemens was the last starter to win the MVP). Santana is only one man in a questionable rotation, and aside from Joe Nathan, I don't see any indication that the bullpen is that much better.

I think the San Francisco Giants will win the NL Wildcard, the Twins will win the AL Wild Card. The World Series will be between the New York Mets and the Oakland A's, with the Mets winning in 5.

Cheers.

I am hopeful that they will take the division. Then the White Sox can overtake the Kittens for the Wildcard and then the season will be complete. Its been very boring to hear about the Tigers being such a good team when in fact they really aren't. They got lucky in the early part of the season and now its very clear how bad they really are. However, whoever wins the Central has to go through New York and the Yankees are white hot.

they're drawing close good on the instant and the compitition is susceptible. Neither the Yanks or the Redsox act like they opt to stitch up the wildcard. Detroit has performed over their heads all 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. The Whitesox act like they do unlike triumphing from now on. enormously accessible at this factor. relatively if the Twins can get good pitching. They nonetheless ought to triumph over out something of the significant and West contendors and in all possibility Toronto.

Of course they will.

Hopefully as the wild card

The Twins have a better chance of beating the skanky yankees than The Tigers do.

Hopefully the whinny sox get to enjoy the playoffs from thier HDTV projection screens at home.

With Liriano coming back, ABSOLUTELY! How could they NOT make the playoffs. And not as a wildcard. They are only 1-1/2 games behind the Tigers. They'll pass the Tigers easily and take the division. Probably pass them up by the end of the week!

I'm a diehard Red Sox fan but I think the Twins will beat the Mets in 7 games in the world series. However, they won't win their division. The Tigers will win the central.

Twins rule! They are red hot and will be in the playoffs for sure. It is a hard call, but I think the Tigers will hang on to their division lead bc their remaining nondivisions games are against crappy teams.

Don't expect the Twins to advance in the playoffs though. Or the Tigers for that matter. There's no playoff experience on either team.

I think they have a great shot to overtake the Tigers to win the AL Central or at the least, win the Wild Card.

it is going to come down to wire a fairly easy schedule coming up with a few good team KC has been giving them problems all year long but with Liriona coming back and Santana just get better as the season goes wait what was the question so yes they are 1.5 behind for the pennant at 1.5 in the wild card so yes.
