Let me see, I think you mean you want to "borrow" money from him, he will "lend" the money to you. How solid is your relationship?
I'm not saying that relationships have a monetary limit, but if you just met him last week, he may balk at lending you $400.
Actually if you like him, don't borrow money from him. Nothing wrecks a friendship faster than a debt relationship.
Do you plan to pay it back? What if he wanted a contract, or issued you a payment book, or wanted interest?
If you tell him your troubles and he offers to loan you the money, that is something altogether different.

What are you asking? You want to lend someone his money? If this is the case...you can't lend out someone else's money and think of a nice way to ask!!! I guess you don't have any? So if you don't have any then you can't expect someone else to cover for you...one thing...if you want to continue a relationship with your boyfriend then you don't tell someone you'll give them money and take it from your boyfriend...when money changes hands like this your just asking for trouble...be careful on what you do...especially when it involves money.

Bad girl! Get your hands off your boyfriend's money!
I mean really, you can lend your own money to people, but you have no say over his money. Cough up your own 400 bucks if you think it's that important... get a job, if necessary.

I don't understand your question - do you want to lend money TO him, or borrow money FROM him? Either way, you shouldn't do it. It always gets messy. Especially if you don't know how to ask. It would be different if he was constantly telling you "I know you're having a hard time, so just let me know if you need some money." But you shouldn't ask.

You might want to remind him that maybe you'll be in his place and you would feel better if he lend you some if he could when you're in need. Tell him its a loan with the kind of interest he'll have to put out for. Watch him take it then. lol.. good luck

why don't you try picking up a dictionary and read the definition of "lend" then read the definition of "borrow"
You cannot lend money from someone, you can only lend money to someone, however you can borrow money from somone, but not borrow it to someone...

Do you mean borrow money from him or loan money to him?? If you want to borrow that much money from him you better make sure you have been together a long time and have a solid relationship. If you want to loan it to him then that's up to you.

Tell him the way that you want to spend it. If it is reasonable, then he would probably pay.
