There is a much longer answer needed here - but the bottom line is simple - Osama wants control of an Islamic state. He had some control in Afghanistan, but his real goal is to rule Saudi Arabia or Iraq - he is very similar in his ideology to that of Hitler's. He wants a muslim world - entire world - that is controlled based on fundamental Islamic principles. He doesn't believe that people should be left to their own devices (free), that they should only worship Allah. By having his own nation he can wield his power and spread his beliefs (nation with oil/resources that the west rely on - even better hence Saudi is his first choice - they kicked him out). He also found his calling (violent struggle) in the Soviet - Afghan war. When the Soviet's pulled out - he no longer had a "divine calling" and created Al Qaeda to ultimately gain control of a nation as I stated above. He changed a great deal after the Soviet struggle and many who have studied him believe he felt a great sense of loss of identity when there was no longer a war to fight. He turned his attention then to the "infidels" mainly Christians and Jews - and to the muslims (Saudi) who allow the infidels to be in holy muslim lands. He is a man with no country and after the Soviet war - no cause. He has found a new cause - and it's destroying us. If we don't wake up and realize that it isn't only a struggle for Iraq, that we can't just quit because we don't like casualities, that war is ugly - he will certainly get what he wants - and it will be the end of America and honestly, everyone else will follow.

It's hard to really pinpoint a single reason as to what truly happened... I don't think any of us ever will, really.
I mean in situations like these, where lives are lost & the damages so great... it's soo... easy to point a finger at people; Osama Bin Laden & extremists being the cop out answer.
What remains ultimately is that 9/11 shall remain as an act of utmost terror in the history of mankind & the world as we know it may never be the same again...

We are living in the end times of the world. And in a very selfish world where everyone usually only thinks of themselves, and what it is that they want.
This happening is a sure sign of that , that was brought on by the power of anger, and selfishness. Truly not thinking of anyone else but what it was that they wanted.
Ultimately a very twisted temper tantrum, like a 2 year old, from a very emotionally disturbed group of people. That thinks they can get there own way if people will listen, and bend to there wants. Pure evil. That stems from pure selfishness. But that is what the world today preaches. Do whatever it is that makes you happy! Well this is never the right way of thinking. And always leads to disaster.

Look into anything in history from about 1950 till the present that deals with the USA and the middle east. Since the 50's they have wanted us out of there yet we stay and continue to do things.
All that hatred over the years from generation to generation has caused terrorists that we see today. Bent on only hurting us like we hurt their families, etc.
Can't blame them...imagine if Russia was here with army, causing problems, etc. After time we would do the same to them, blow them up on the streets, have small radical bands running around, etc. Can't blame someone for wanting someone out of their country. God didn't' name us as the world watchers.

Because the Government wanted a war. They have known about the threats for along time. And did nothing about it. Did you not watch the movie last night & tonight on 9/11? It was all a sick move to get this country in a war. Money is made on WAR!!!!!!

The cause of 9/11? The alqaida wanted to destroy americans so they flew planes into the twin towers and other places killing thousand of people.

The main cause is because those people believe in the worst religion. Love our God. He would never ask anyone to commit suicide. Think about it. Would your Dad ever say, "Hey, honey, go drive your bike off that cliff and die for me." That is why those terrorist did that. They believe that they will be rewarded if they commit suicide and kill people for their God.
