I love Ethopian Airlines - they sometimes are the cheapest and they are an A+ in service. Plus - the meals served on the plane are surprisingly delicious.

Of course, it all depends on where "here" is. If you're in NYC, then Northamerican or Delta which will start flying in December as it's direct. If somewhere else, you might find cheaper flights through KLM with a stopover in Amsterdam. I've heard good things about Ethiopian airlines, by the way, though their website is a bit tedious to manuever. Also, try Luthansa and British Airways.

Don't forget, if they are Ghanaian natives, they need a visa to travel to the US, not always easily obtainable.

North American Airlines from Accra (Ghana) or Lagos(Nigeria).

NAA offers direct flights from both places to JFK direct, no stop-overs, so it's cheaper too.
