Is that the b.s that Bush was lying about tonight on my TV? I wonder what it would take to make him see the death and destruction that he has caused. To see the old men, woman and babys that he has killed because he lied and took us to war.

I suspect he did it for his own personal gain which is worse.

We have to stay the course because Dick Cheney's Halliburton hasn't made a billion dollars yet (though Cheney has made over 9 million in Halliburton since they got a no-bid contract for Iraq). We have to stay the course because Bush's investment into the Carlyle Group (with the Bin Laden family) hasn't reached the hundred billion dollar mark since the Iraq war. We have to stay the course or else the fire fighting firm that also got a no-bid contract that has Bush Cheney connections, hasn't made Bush and Cheney a billion dollars.

You see if we don't stay the course then the Bush twins won't get their pony. Cheney won't be able to buy a years supply of pace makers. And the other nutcase inbred Neo-Cons won't be able to buy their life size statue of Hitler holding a confederate flag. As you can see we must stay the course.

I'm not a Bush supporter. I was dead set against invading Iraq. But now that we are there we have no choice but to stay until the Iraqis can defend the country on their own.
Has it occurred to anyone else that the overwhelming evidence that convinced the Republicans, the Democrats, and the UN that Saddam had WMD may have been spooned fed to the CIA by Iranian agents? Isn't it possible that the USA was led by the nose by these Islamo-Fascists into toppling the Iraqi regime so they could take over the country in a civil war afterward?
The one thing Bush stated in his speech is a fact. We cannot leave Iraq and let the extremist take over the oil fields and have access to the money that can be generated. With that money they can finance terrorism whenever and wherever they want.
We are constantly hearing about the bombings in Iraq. What I find interesting is the fact that even though the extremist have targeted Iraqi recruits, young men are still joining the Iraqi forces in droves. I feel this is testimony to the notion that the Iraqis want to bring peace to their country as much as we do. And as long as there are bus loads of recruits to be targeted there is hope for Iraq.
As I stated, I am not a supporter of Bush, but his speech last night was one of the best he ever presented. He may have spent some time here on Y!A as he hit on every point people have been arguing over. I think every one needs to lighten up a little on the Bush bashing. Let's remember that the Democrats voted for the Iraq war as well.

It was TOTAL BS

I kept having to make myself stop yelling at the tv because I kept missing what he was saying from being too loud. LOL

Did you hear all the hype before he spoke about it being an apolitical speech? Meaning he was proclaiming that he would give a non-partisan speech. BOLOGNA

I was yelling LIES within 10 seconds into it. It amazes me that ppl think the media is controlled by the left. I have vowed to never watch another show on ABC the rest of my life... even removed it from my remote control. And all that false hype so now the dummies of the USA are going to give what he said more credit.

Sad fact is that most ppl are ignorant to the truth and I bet 99.9% have never even read a summary of the 911 Commission Report.

I can't figure out if republicans just don't know what truth is or if lieing is natural for them... you know, the type of person that just lies when they don't even have to.

Bush could give a rats *** about those that died on 9/11. 9/11 gave him his reason to invade Iraq. Americans were lied to, and here we are... half a trillion poorer, less 2600 US men and women, less 130,000 Iraqis.... and for what? To make Dick Cheneys buddies even richer? To spread fundamentalist Christianity to the Muslim world? Tell me why? Many years from now...when the real truth comes out... Bush will go down in history as the worst, most corrupt and deadliest president in History.

Man, he didn't take us to war. War was brought to us. You think you can actually talk and reason with these terrorists? These terrorists are blood-thirsty sub-human animals that want nothing more than to kill you and your entire family. If you want to roll over and show your yellow underbelly, go ahead. I'm for taking the war to the terrorists. Kill em all and let allah sort them out.

It is the wrong course for rational people, for him it's the right course as Bush and his Goons will continue to line their pockets with profits made from companies contracting with our military, that and the Oil whores (Saudis), and with the blood of our soldiers and innocent people, he'll get his one day.

That's the theory. Just like good little lemmings.

Personally, I think going cliff diving should be treated as an optional hobby, not as a political or strategic model.

Don't you wish someone had asked that question after the Normandy Invasion? Or the Battle of the Bulge?

I don't...

If you are concerned about deaths, bear in mind that UNICEF reported Saddam killing about 6,000 children a month during the 'peace' in Iraq. He used the Oil for Food money to build new palaces instead of feeding non-Sunnis. Hundreds of thousands died during the 1990s.

Sometimes, war is the lesser of two evils.

It's called insanity when you keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.
