I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years we live together and I would like to get married but I don't know if he will ever ask me.

Are you my twin? I've been with my boyfriend for 4 years and we just live together too. Not engaged and not married. It would depend on what the reasons are for not being married. After five years of being together...I don't think it would be too soon to ask him when he wants to get married. Don't be afraid to ask him. Ask him how long he wants to be together and if he says for the rest of his life or whatever, then ask him when he wants to get married. If he says he doesn't know, then ask him what he's waiting for. Financial reasons? Is he just not sure yet? Is he scared? What? Just talk to him about it.

when i see this just had ta say something im 35 and my bf is 40 wa have been together for 10 years we have a daughter and i ask myself the same question all the time will we ever get married but the problum with him is that he takes care of his mother who is in her 60's just b patient and give it time like im doing that is if you love him like i do my man good luck

I was with my husband for five years before he proposed.Let him know you're ready and If he Is not interested then you shouldn't have sex with him any more.My husband and I didn't have sex before we were married.If you are sleeping with him with out even being married then why would he all of a sudden propose?
