Erin Feran. That's cute. Makes you want to keep saying it over and over and over. I say just keep his name. I hate hypens. Erin Feran, Erin Feran, Erin Feran. Yeah. I like it.

I think it is best when everyone in a family has the same last name, especially if you have or want to have kids.
Personally, I love it when intials spell cool things like Elf. I'm a little jealous! :)

Can't break traditions...if you want to break traditions be fair and refuse the ring that he dropped $$$$$$$ on!

You might not like to see your name as ELF but maybe he doesn't like seeing his bank account go from 6k to zero!

Do what you would like to do.You shouldn't care what other people think.In most European countries a women keeps her maiden name.They don't even think of taking on the husbands.It is an old custom .Dating back to when a man owned and controlled the women and everything she had.

There aren't too many times where we have to use our 3 initials, so you won't have to be an ELF that often. I think it's cute, and best wishes to you and your hubby.

If you keep the E.L.F. initials, you do realize you'll need to have an ear job.....don't you? Because if you're going to be an elf, you'll have an image to maintain..........and tiny little shoes to fill.

I think it's just a personal choice. I plan to hyfen my last name because my dad doesn't have any sons to carry on his name so I want our future kids to have both of our last names.

Whatever makes you happy but it works well when married couples have the same name .... maybe he could take your name if that would sound better? My husband considered that.
