It's a republican propaganda spin tool that they use to spread hate and motivate the evangelicals voters to vote for them.
They do the same thing with ppl who protest the war... saying we are un-American, etc... Or when they say that pro-choice ppl are pro-abortion...
Twisting facts in order to motivate hate is all the republican party knows how to do.

From what I've read, the preachings and the actual foundations of Islam differ a great deal. For all the Koran says about not killing, there is still the this:
"The two cities of Mecca and Medina went to war. Muhammad and his followers won one battle (Battle of Badr) and managed to stalemate a Meccan attack in the Battle of the Trench. Through conquest and conversion, Muhammad was able to unite the surrounding tribes behind him and eventually assembled such a large force that Mecca capitulated without a fight. By the time Muhammad died, on June 8, 632, he and his followers had united the entire Arabian peninsula under Islam, and had started to expand into the areas now known as Syria and Iraq."
"After Muhammad passed away, a series of Caliphs governed the Islamic State: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali...Abu Bakr's short reign (632-34) was occupied by the Ridda wars - rebellions of Bedouin Arabs. During Umar's rule, Muslim armies invaded Palestine and Mesopotamia. At the Battle of Yarmuk (636), Muslim armies won a crushing victory over the Byzantines, thus paving the way for the conquest of Egypt and Syria. After a decisive victory over the Sassanid empire at the Battle of al-Qādisiyyah in 637, Muslims overwhelmed the Persians in Mesopotamia. Five years later, after the Battle of Nihawānd, Persia was effectively included in the expanding Islamic empire."
"Under Uthman, the new empire fell into a civil war called the Fitna, or disorder."

I say "Islamic" because the terrorists who are murdering innocent men, women and children are Islamic fundamentalists who are hell bent on killing all infidels and anyone else who dare question their beliefs.
It is not I who is distorting their religion, it is both the terrorists who commit the horrendous crimes and the Islamic people who refuse to condemn them for their actions.
Islam is a tolerant, peaceful and loving religion.
And bumble bees can't fly.

Wow, do you should learn with regard to the alchemy of justification. the place is your place international? case in point, you despise order, the the enemy may be prolonged to incorporate supporters of order. So Bush, who has the skill of a Monarch, comes to a decision the PETA (human beings for the moral therapy of Animals) are the enemy, AKA terrorists, so he can penitentiary and harass them getting on airplanes. This facilitates save the FAA inspectors sharp. the flexibility of justification is going like this. PETA scares people who harm animals. there are dissimilar people who think of PETA has long gone too a strategies (I do). PETA needs human beings to do what they request. Peta has a frightening effect if human beings do not do what they request (they are in a position to enable the diseased loss of life animals loose). So PETA are terrorists and can be imprisoned with out courtroom approval by ability of Monarchical authority of the president upon statement of terrorist prestige. Justification is the insanity that makes ailment expand everywhere. Extremes of appropriate and left see eye to eye do not they? i'm a cynic right this moment, forgive me....

an islamist id one who practices islam. simple.
the terrorists we are at war with are islamists. but their interpretation of the koran is much different than that of the majority of islamists. they want to control the entire orld under theit asasine sharia law. they consider all who are not moslem (just another term for islamist) to be infidels and therefore not worthy of life.
all the crimes you mentioned are against the teachings in the koran just as they are in the bible, but that doesn't stop these extermists.
the best term for these extermists is: ISLAMOFACISTS.

Then why is so much of the world terrorism committed by Islamic terror cells and groups? . And why is the Iranian president and the Islamic world trying to shove Islam down our throats?
And why do they recruit their women and children to become suicide bombers? Sounds pretty contradictory to me.

They have politicized the issues so that it is acceptable among certain groups of Muslims. This has happened in Christianity when America had slaves. So called "Christians" justified slavery by distorting the religion. I think the same has happened here.

"The rest of the muslims (the good, peaceful 99.9%) can do themselves a big favor and publically oppose this crap."
They shouldn't have to.
I haven't heard anyone appologizing for the crusades. Nor did I ask all Catholics to appologize for some of the priests raping children.
Nope... Because I don't lump people into categories often.

You don't know much about it, do you? Do you have the faith in your convictions to read the link below? All quotes ARE from the holy books of Islam. The author of that site offers $50,000 if proved wrong. I am not "making up words", I am exposing what you purport to defend - murder, plain and simple.

I say Islamists to refer to a group of people who practice Islam as their religion. I say Islamic extremists to refer to people who fly planes into our buildings. I don't think of these people as religious, but as fanatics...dead set on destroying us. You are right though, people lump it all into one category, and they shouldn't. Why don't you spend some time helping people understand...?
