They should be able to wear whatever they want, including pants, bikinis, or nothing at all. It doesn't matter.

I don't agree with that belief and I feel that it sends the wrong message. Not only that it's a hindrance to people who would like to go to church, but don't because they don't have the right clothes to wear. The way a person dresses has nothing to do with salvation. I have attended service at a COGIC and I was uncomfortable while I was there. Why? Because of the way the people were looking at the way people were dressed instead of focusing on the reason they were there in the first place. I know of churches women were turned away from because they arrived in pants and not a dress. That has absolutely nothing to do with God and everything to do with someones personal belief that women should wear dresses. The same people that say it's wrong for women to wear pants are the same ones that will exchange pajamas with other church ladies at Christmas and for birthdays. Or the same ones that look down on a woman for wearing pants to church, are the same ones you see working in their yard on a Saturday with a pair of shorts on. You say you don't wear pants inside church or outside of church, how many nurses attend COGIC services on Sunday and show up for work Monday in hospital scrubs? How many of your school age daughters participate in physical education wearing a skirt and a blouse? How many ladies in your church do a little exercising in a pair of sweats? Think about what you are saying before you say you don't wear pants inside or outside of the church because I can pretty much guarantee that is not the complete truth. Pants don't make the man and it don't make the Christian either. I think that is one belief that should be abolished. The Bible reads, whosoever will, let him come. If COGIC or any other church is not allowing that to happen, they will be held accountable.

Interesting question. The lady who runs the day home I take my daughter to never, ever wears pants, and the ladies in her church all have long hair as well. They are of some Christian faith (not sure which). Wonderful people, but I too wonder why they never wear pants. I would love to know the answer to this question, but don't want to offend her by asking.
P.S. I think there is nothing wrong with it so long as they are happy and doing it of their own free will.

Well, apparently there's no equality between the sexes in your faith. Why should it matter what someone wears, as long as they are worshipping. Do you really think God cares what you wear, or what you look like?
Hey, Sherlok Homy, that is a serious question. There is a group who believe that women should not wear pants at any time. I don't know the basis of this belief, but it is true. So, dumbass, before you report someone, you better know the facts.

James, I see nothing wrong with a woman wearing pants. Actually they cover more of the body than a skirt or dress. But that is just my opinion. Some churches who speak against women wearing pants, think it's okay if they wear coulottes (or split skirts). What's the difference in them or a pair of pants?
God bless, and thank you for asking that question.

Okay, I'm really an atheist, but here goes: A woman's relationship with God should go deeper than whether or not she wears pants, especially considering they make pants for women.

The Bible says` in 1 Timothy 2 : 9 -10 In like manner also , that women adorn themselves in modest apparel , with shamefacedness and sobriety ; not with broided hair , or gold , or pearls , or costly array ; But ( which becometh women professing godliness ) with good works. ............ I believe that it is the Lords desire to have everyone dress modestly . The pants idea for a woman is considered a no-no because it allows the form of the womans` body features to be seen and lustful imaginations` to be created in the mind . As we all are in the flesh , then we all can be led astray by our fleshly lust imagination.

this isn't on your own inner most prayers even as surely praying for your self. that's once you're assuming the area that a male frequently seems after . this must be obtrusive from verse 3: 3 yet i might want to have you ever know, that the authentic of each guy is Christ; and the authentic of the female is the guy; and the authentic of Christ is God. for this reason in case you pray for a baptized teen, male, as e.g. a mom might want to do, then she might want to apply the headgear. If the teen isn't baptized (the following toddler baptism does no longer count number) then she desires no longer use the headband / headgear. If the female prays before the congregation the position frequently a guy might want to lead on the congregation yet there is not any guy attainable who has the credentials (baptized sturdy status) to objective this, in spite of the reality that, she might want to apply the headgear throughout the time of those prayers. If she prays for herself she desires no headgear for she stands basically as she is before the Lord, no longer representing any guy to him. it truly is the headship concept it is being given appreciate the following.

From one Christian to another. READ YOUR BIBLE! You should only follow the rules of the bible, not the rules of man. God tells us not to worship others. Don't you think by going by what a man says instead of the Holy Bible is wrong?
Pants??
Come on.
I have a friends who does that in her church and it ticks me off when her husband has on nice warm pants because it is like -20 degrees here in Wisconsin and she has on her skirt.
Don't you think god would want her to keep herself warm and free of harm?
Or do you think he would be more impressed that she followed a mans rule?
Think about it.
