Well You can share the Internet Between the two computer!
for that you required a LAN Card / Wireless Adapator in the laptop!
The Modem can have an addition point to connect to another Computer! Or the laptop can also conect wirelessly if both have a Wireless adaptor !
There are many ways to do it , it depends on your configuration too!
I can help you further if you can come up with the configuration!
I am also using a BSNL Connection and has tried to Sharing the Connection!
Though I have taken the PLAN which allows be do shatre the connection so that's legal!
