When the Soviet's pulled out - he no longer had a "divine calling" and created Al Qaeda to ultimately gain control of a nation as I stated above. He changed a great deal after the Soviet struggle and many who have studied him believe he felt a great sense of loss of identity when there was no longer a war to fight. He turned his attention then to the "infidels" mainly Christians and Jews - and to the muslims (Saudi) who allow the infidels to be in holy muslim lands. He is a man with no country and after the Soviet war - no cause. He has found a new cause - and it's destroying us. If we don't wake up and realize that it isn't only a struggle for Iraq, that we can't just quit because we don't like casualities, that war is ugly - he will certainly get what he wants - and it will be the end of America and honestly, everyone else will follow.

The uproar and threat perception arising from Pearl Harbor helped Public Opinion for US participation in the WW II. (Few weeks after this publication all researchers were separately reported dead in Road accidents etc.)
