I think it's great.
If you love each other and you're compatible, you can make it work at any age.
No, 39 is not too old for a baby. My friend just gave birth aged 40 to a very healthy baby girl, and it was an easy delivery. My cousin had her first baby at 42. A woman I work with is on maternity leave with her first baby aged 43. It happens all the time.
If you can get pregnant naturally, it's a sign she's in good health, and she'll probably live a long life.

My husband is 12 years younger than me. We've been together for 3 years and so far the relationship is hot as ever. We met when he was 19, I was 31. We also had a beautiful baby girl last year. I don't think 39 is too old to have a baby. It is borderline though and she would be considered more high risk for certain birth defects, but for the most part, if she is healthy, then there shouldn't be any worries.
I say good luck in your relationship, it's not that uncommon. Demi moore/Ashton Kuscher, Cameron Diaz/Justin Timberlake are more examples of older women to younger men. Take care and good luck with a baby too.

If you like it, I love it. 39 is not elderly you know. (She looks good for her age, sheesh!) As for giving birth, I hope you plan a marriage as part of the deal, hopefully before the child. She should be evaluated by an ob/gyn. Lots of women past 40 have children that are perfectly healthy. The risks to the baby are there, however. Can you deal with a downs syndrome child? Appearances seem important to you, so know that these babies look different, but can lead full and happy lives. Some have grown up to be actors, etc. Others suffer many health problems and some die early. A risk with any child though the risk is greater after 40.
Good luck to ya both.

Age is just a number, and you are as young as you feel, and with you in tow i bet she feels 21 again. I am 23 and my partner is 35 so no age doesnt matter. Partnerships are about love and respect and as long as you have that i wouldnt worry about small minded people. Enjoy your life we are only here once. As for children, she is getting on the give birth but as long as your both healthy why not. at the ned of the day as long as the child is loved does it really matter how old your going to be when the child is 20. No it shouldnt, enjoy the love and life you have with this women. Good luck on the baby front.

No biggie dude. I have close friends with the same 12 year gap. They have been married 10 years now, but were 18 and 30 when they got married. That's a bit more extreme than 27 and 39...isn't it!?!
Hey at 27 you've been out there a while and 39 is no big deal. So she likes Journey and REO Speedwagon...and maybe some Def Leppard...you'll adapt.

Of course, many women in their 30's even 40s have children and with the life expectancy so high these days (women's being higher) the child should still have stable and healthy parents for as long as they need. The only thing is that there could be more risk of complications, but if it's what you really want go for it! Like I said, many have healthy happy babies at middle age.
If you are devoted enough, you should do it. Remember, life is not a rehearsal. You are only here once
Good luck xxx

Look at Ashton & Demi. Point is you live life for you & what works for you so... if she works DO NOT let her go. After 40 pregnancy is a high risk but I would be more concerned with the issue of being old when my child turns 10 years old. If you both are active now then chances are you won't be bed ridden when your child is in elementery school. As long as you are physically able to keep up with your child I don't see a problem, however you do not need my permission because only you know what feels right :0)

I don't know about the birth thing. You should talk to her about that. As far as the age gap; 13 years is a big gap, but it's not as big of a gap as things would have been if you were both 7 years younger so I guess it's not 'that bad' if it works ok for you two. That's all that really matters anyways right? If you two like it, then go with it.

The age gap is your thing. Remember age is a number but she will always be 12 years older than you, that gap will not close. As far as a child, no physically she is not too old but this is something you two should discuss and then discuss with her doctor. There could be a medical reason why she shouldn't.
Go For It and BE HAPPY!!!!
