at pet stores they are around $100-150.oo + food, cadge, etc.. is it worth it? I'm thinking about it but still not sure due to the price.

If you have time to actually give it attention it is most definitely worth it. They do need to have cages cleaned at least onec a week. They are great animals. They are cute, very calm and do not require 24/7 attention like other animals. They are the kind of animal that you will totally get your moneys worth just by the funny looks they give you. Definitely get one, it is the best animal i have had.

They are an animal that lives for a long time, being like 10-15 years. They are costly animals even to keep and really need alot of thought and information before getting one. I think as for the chin being worth their cost, well that I guess is really up to the person. Look into it and see how you feel about it first. I have heard some people complain that it was not worth it and I personally enjoy my chin and find him a good little animal friend. There are lots of sites on the net that have tons of information on these little animals and you should consider how you feel about the amount of work involved and alot the needs that they have if they are going to be able to fit into your life. Cats are a bad thing and if you spend a ton of money and one accident that the chin gets out, well the out come maybe one you don't want to think about in terms of money and loss of a pet. Dogs may also attack a chin. Something to think about forsure.

Chinchillas make wonderful pets but I would suggest going to a breeder instead of a pet store. If you are on the West Coast you should have no problem finding chinchillas starting at around $50. On the East Coast they start at around $80. If you don't mind getting an adult you might find a nice shelter chinchilla. We adopt ours for around $50 each.

YYESS!! I have a pet chinchilla and they are sooo adorable. Plus they are the sweetest things!! lol.. if u really like em, then i think that it is worth the price! it's not really that much to take care of them after the first one or two months. Good luck! â¥

i dont think so. but if you really want it then go around in some local shops in a not so good area where maybe you can get them at a less cost.

No. Shop around. Every now and then you'll see an ad in the local paper where somebody wants to sell theirs and you can often get one for $60 or less.
