Maybe I'm the crazy one ,when I ask ,it's to see if my beliefs are out of line or out of the norm.

It's not so much interesting as it is pretty common. Most people already have their mind made up when they come on here to ask a question, they are just looking for someone to validate it for them. I find it more interesting that they would actually use some of this advice in their personal lives to make life altering decisions.

Answers can be way off, because they don't know the person or all the details. I think that's part of it. You can't put in all the details without writing a book. A lot of people asking questions aren't all that concise about it either.
Or they are asking questions because they want to feel like they are doing the right thing, they are thinking right.
I asked a question about my husband being a stoner and almost everyone told me to leave him. Thanks everyone! That really helped. :( It does make me feel like I'm doing the right thing by not caving in about it though.

Many times they are just asking for validation for what they already knew in the first place. What's wrong with that? The only ones I find irritating are the ones who seek validation for cheating on their spouses and hoping that everyone will agree and even make excuses for them.

Some people are looking for validation, not advice or perspective. It is also interesting when a poster clearly doesn't give the whole story when looking for feedback.

I think to make themselves feel better because they can't really make a decision for themselves. Maybe someone else to blame when it comes crumbling down?

This kind of question is asked because they want to ask something but they can't think of anything intelligent.

Yeah, thats usually the case,
but not always.
People like to have reassurance that they're right, even if its one person.
