Ok, first of all I'll start off by saying that I've had it checked by a doctor and I just had an ultra-sound, but I won't have any results for about a week. I've had this lump for 8-9 years now, and it doesn't hurt, never has. The lump almost feels like its not directly on my testicle but like its growing off of it, maybe really close but off of the epidemyas(sp?). But if I've had this lump for that long with no problems, is it still possible that it may be cancer? I tried searching online but I can't find any information as far as how long it takes testicular cancer to develop. Thanks.

Just relax! Since you have already seen doctor and took ultrasound, you should take a break and don't think about it. I don't know how old you are. The range to have testicular cancer mostly from 18-30.

Many men have calcified lumps in this area. They are as you describe - actually on the chord that connects the testicle to the body. They are benign and harmless. You've done the right thing in seeing a doctor.

Although most testicular cancers develop very slowly, if you've had the lump for 8 years and it has not changed shape or consistency, then it is very unlikely that you have a malignant tumor.

first of all lets start off by saying...why are you taking care of this now instead of having it checked out 8 or 9 years ago? because if it is testicular cancer, it could have already spread through the body and be too late for you. you need to get it taken care of when you first notice it instead of waiting around like a bum. its for your health's sake.
