Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the son of Pandit Motilal Nehru. He also was the husband of Ms Kamla Nehru and the father of Ms Indira Gandhi.He was also the brother of Ms Vijayalakshmi Pandit, the wife of Mr Ranjit Pandit. Subsequently, he became the grand- father of Mr Rajiv Gandhi and Mr Sanjay Gandhi, who were the husbands of Ms Sonia Gandhi and Ms Maneka Gandhi, respectively. He is also the late great grand-father of Mr Rahul Gandhi , Ms Priyanka Vadra and Mr Varun Gandhi. (Please excuse, I don't know the names of the son and daughter of Ms Priyanka Vadra)
Of course, a lot more can be said about the great man's contribution to the Indian democracy.
