Your files are not protected by a user password. A user password simply means that other user's can't log on to your user directly. (If all the users of a computer have adminstrative rights, however, they can remove your user password anyway.)

Using Windows Explorer, any user with Adminstrative rights can view any folder on the system, regardless of who created it. If you don't want someone looking at your files, your best bet is probably to hide them in an abscure folder, although a simple search will bring them right back up (even if you mark them as "Hidden").

If you really don't want you're files seen, try using this guide to compress a folder, which you can password protect:

In my experience however, password protected files in Windows are rarely safe. With enough effort, someone can get in.

When you share a computer anyone else, you can see each others documents. I do not know how much you know about computers but you need to set your folder private. This is how you do it:

RIGHT click on start...
a menu opens and you click on "explore"
a box "start menu" will open...
click on Documents and Settings,
find your folder (it will be your name or what you chose for your account name)
RIGHTclick on it and a drop down menu opens...
click on properties...
click on the "Sharing" tab...
click on "Make this folder private,
then click on Apply....
you will see little files moving... that is the machine making your files private.
When that stops click on OK and you are done.
Then just click on the X in the upper left corner of the menu box that is open and it will close.

Once you set it private no one else can see them not even the person who is the administrator. I know this because I am administrator on our computer.

If anyone tries to look in your file a box will open that says
"Access Denied"

Make your "My Documents" folder private and put all the personal file in it or in "Desktop". Do not put them in other drives. You can make your folder pvt. from Control Panel >> User Accounts then select your username and follow the screen instructions.

Have you allowed them to be administrators too! Go to start, then control panel, then user accounts. When you get there click on their screens and press limited on theirs, but do not click limited on yours. You want to make the administrator. If you do this then they can not get on your screen, and you have the control of the your screen and theirs.
