Totally agree OMG ALL THESE PEOPLE DIED... familys are sad etc... then entire familys lose each other and there homes through Katrina... which is worse yet which has most coverage? In the UK we had about 3-4 days or Katrina coverage then the odd word once a week. Katrina was far worse but news like to shock people... cant shock them with Katrina because everyone knew the outcome, but noone knew how much pi**ing off Fanatical musliums would be!! I feel sorry for all effected but seriously.... terrorism has been covered to death try covering areas still devistated by Katrina! not replaying that damn plane smashing into the buildings.... although it is my screansaver.

Yes, I know folks are going to hate on me too for saying this, but....

I am sick of hearing about it too....not because I don't know about the 3000+ people who died and the thousands *more* who are sick from rescue efforts and the thousands *more* who are growing up without a mother, father, son or daughter.....

I am sick of constantly having the *slanted, "official"* version of events being USED as a bludgeon to force people to cower in silence. I am tired of having my NOSE rubbed in the death and carnage every TIME I see fit to say anything critical about the "President" who allowed this to *happen*.

I get tired of hearing *only* about the tragedy, without any context, explanation, or objective sense-making or problem-solving going on. I get tired of seeing Jerry Falwell ALIVE, ok? Do ANY of you "oh grow up" people even *remember* the horrible things he said about US on that very DAY five years ago?

Of course not, because the Media doesn't tell you to. All it wants to show you is the carnage and the dead bodies....and not the bad attitudes that quite likely *led up to the event itself*.

And in all fairness, the same thing happened with the Vietnam War I've been told....the News outlets and Media reported only one *very* slanted side of the story, and encouraged people to attack anyone who dared to disagree and to call them "baby killers" and "Hanoi janes" and the like....

So I am not saying this is anything new in and of itself.

What IS new is that every year now, like clockwork, Bush and Company see fit to use the event, to use this tragedy, to *browbeat* a whole country into terrified silence, like so many orphaned kids, so that there will be a "unified front" of silence before the world.

Which is exactly the opposite of what the world needs to see.

We need to show the world that no, we *are not* imprisoned by our own fear, and that no, Massuh Bush *does not* own us. We need to show the world that there still are thinking people in America with some grasp on reality *beyond that which Fox News spoon-feeds them*.

But hey, I know.....people are scared and generally not in the habit of thinking *at all*, never mind for themselves, so what can you do?

**shrugs** I guess thank your lucky stars that a) this day only lasts for 24 hours, like any other, and will be done soon, and that b), it could be worse....

Today could be your *birthday*.

Are you stupid? Both of the things you talk about are awful, but 9/11 was a terroist attack and almost 3,000 people died...they had no warning the planes were going to crash into there building. We knew the hurricane was going to hit and yet people stayed in there homes. I'm not saying that the people who died there deserved it at all so please don't take it that way, all I'm saying is if your sick of hearing about the attack then you can leave our country.

Not I....
There were more innocent people murdered on 9/11 than in on the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941 which led the US into WW2...
The Liberals & Dems are trying their best to get everyone to forget about that in this upcoming election season..
I see you have bought into the Democratic propaganda and will be voting Democratic as soon as you turn 21....

You have totally missed the historical significance of the event and the need to combat and overcome the forces that caused it.

Stupid buildings? How young and misguided you must be.

WELL I personally you need TO RE EDUCATE YOURSELF.. and you need to RE AMERICANAZI, or you're a COMMUNIST, to think that you are so tiered about 911, i think until you experience, the loss, and the full MOMENT OF IT,, YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE EMOTIONS,, so, i LOST LOTS OF MY friends, and-----------so i would IF YOU do not understand, or want to underst, and just want to release some steam,, and have your moment in the SUN ,, will enjoy yourself..I did not even drink any JAMAICAN RUM, SMOKE CUBAN CIGARS, SO I can send FIDEL CASTRO, SMOKE SIGNALS.. SO LAY OFF THE fact that you're tired of 911..gtow up, go to sleep, and wake up, inside in a pool of ---------------so, you need to read and grow up,, or GET OFF THIS SITE,, OR WHY DON;T YOU GO TO NY. AND WALK INTO A FIRE HOUSE,, AND TELL THEM FACE TO FACE.. YEA! OK.. NO GUTS,, OR GET A LIFE..

I understand how you feel b/c it does get old hearing the same o same o all the time. It is time for our country to move on but as far as feeling worse for those people who lost homes in the hurricane... What's a home compared to a life? What would u rather loose your home or you parents or spouse or child? A home is replaceable a human being is not and we lost a lot of people in those buildings. I do think they need to let it go though. I think ti would help those people to be able to move on also.

I guess it's easy to underestimate the importance of that event considering you were only 10 when it happened. I guess next we should "like totally get over, world war 2? Or, OMG, we should like stop talking about the revolution already!"?

You remind me of the type of person who would get drunk and drive your car over a group of kids at a bus stop. The only thing that would bother you is that filling out paper work would eat into your drinking time.
