Like if a girl on the cheerleading squad told the quaterback that she heard the class nerd talking to the teacher who she babysits for about how the head cheerleader was pregnant, that would be a big run a round. So just go to the head cheerleader and ask. The headcheeleader is the 'horse's mouth' so to speak
