I don't know, but my coathangers always disappear mysteriously. Maybe there is a blackhole in my closet that sucks them in and they come out the other side in your closet. Please give them back to me. PLEASE!

Many thrift stores I have visited sell large lots of coathangers very cheap.

Because most people take their clothes down and fold them or place them in garment bags to pack when they move, ergo they have no further use for them. They just buy new ones.
