My job is boring, humiliating, and low-paying. But I'm surrounded by some of the funniest, strongest, kindest co-workers I've ever met. I don't know what to do — my job is the pits, but I'm still having a great time. Yikes...

I was pretty much in the same situation as you. I worked with the awesomest people ever in my old job, but then the company went downhill and they all started quitting one by one. Finally it was just me and one other girl left, but the problem was that we were super super close, she was someone that I talked to about everything, so it was really hard for me to make the decision to leave. Finally I decided I had no choice, staying was impacting me negatively.

No one can make the decision for you, but I can definitely understand how hard it is to leave people you love. I still stay in touch with my co-worker, and I consider her one of my best friends, but it's just not the same seeing her a few times a month rather than several times a week. However, I do know that I made the right decision to leave. If you do decide to leave, definitely don't leave behind the friendships you have made.

First, the fundamentals; a work site is NOT a social haven. It is a place where you go to do a job, do it well, and get paid for it.
Your co-workers are not your 'friends'. They should be working also. If you do not like the work you do, find another job that is more fulfilling.
Don't expect the job to provide you with a social life!

It depends on what you prioritize. If you want a good and fulfilling job and you are going to stay there for years, then think about finding another one. If you are young and you're just there to make money, then keep it and suffer being a peon for a little bit. A lot of people are in your position and don't even have cool co-workers!

Well you have to ask yourself how important your job future is. If you determine that it's not that important, then you might have to sacrifice your job for your relationships with your coworkers. however, if you want a better job or career, you need to bite the bullet and look elsewhere for a better paying job that is more suited towards yourself. Who knows, there might be similar co workers at the new place...good luck!

u can always source for a better opportunity elsewhere n still keep ur co-workers as frens.

but sometimes people say, they wouldnt mind having a shitty job as long as the are comfortable with the co-workers in the office.

it's up to u. but if u're still young, u should leave the job to get a better opportunity in making ur career.

You make the choice:
You hate your job but love your co-workers
OR
You love your job but hate your co-workers.
You make the choice:
Wherever makes you happy...
I prefer the first one...
You will soon be loving it...
Passing the time with your co-workers is worthwhile, you might not be minding your job so much that you're having fun working with them, and the time got unnoticed you just finished your workload...
Re-think your life goal to work..

Good co-workers are hard to come by, but they don't put food on the table or pay your bills.

I would get their phone numbers and keep in contact, but find a new job!

Good Luck!

Quit your job. Date your co-workers. Problem solved.

Start looking for another job, and make sure you get contact info from your friends, that way you can have a better job, hopefully be happier, and keep your friends. If they're your friends, they will still be your friends if work somewhere else.
Good luck.
