They are making a come back. They are the only grocery store around in alot of small towns. I guess they are only in the southeast.

We had a Piggly Wiggly about 10 years ago. It went out of business. I guess they have improved the store since then. :)

Our store here just changed it's name to Piggly Wiggly, I hate even telling people back home where i shop LOL

i loved that store too but food city came and bought them out so we don't have one any more. it really upset a lot of people. they didn't buy it to put thier store in there, they opened up on the other side of town. they just didn't want the competition!

they closed all the wigglys here and I preferred it over food lion just like I did winn dixie.

I shopped there when I lived in Mississippi. It was the only large grocery store in my hometown.
They don't have them in California where I live now.
