is it murder or a blessed easy way of passing in to the next life

It is a real blessing. My grandfather died last year of emphysema, and it allowed him to enjoy the last few weeks of his life at home with his family around him and out of severe pain. There's no way to know if the morphine allowed him to die sooner than he otherwise would have. Maybe the pain and stress without hospice would have killed him sooner. It doesn't matter though. The point is to reduce suffering and offer death with dignity.

It is a blessing. It helps not only the dying patient, it helps the family.

A friend of mine had hospice for the last few months when her husband was dying, the people were warm and wonderful and friendly. One night ,one of the nurses, walked in, looked at him and suggested to her that she talk to her husband and say Good-bye. She said he would die shortly, the angels were all around him.

She talked to her husband for about 1/2 hour. He fell asleep and died in his sleep about 40 minutes after that.

I would have been suspicious, but the Hospice worker was never alone with him, never gave him any meds. She saw the angels.

He was going to heaven, my friend was comforted by the situation in which he died.

How much more can you ask for?

well if there is nothing else the doctors can do to save the person life then no I dont think its murder. They still continue to take care of them until they pass trying to make them not suffer as much. My boyfriend mom was in hospice but they came to her house and took care of her because thats where she wanted to die at. I guess it could be at the way ya look at it but in my opinion there is nothing wrong with it.

Its a blessing for the family and the person dying. A way for them to remain at home and be kept comfortable.

Way I understand it, a hospice prepares peoples' loved-ones for what's to come. I think it puts them more at ease while making them as comfortable as they can

How could it be murder? They don't kill you in hospice they only give comfort measures to die a peaceful death.
