Quad core amd are still in trials and when released will be expensive. I recomend personaly waiting a year till after there public release. That way theres no first release errors. You know like a new car. As far as intell well they can take a flying leep in the lake. Amd out preforms intell on all levels of testing.

Both AMD and Intel have quad cores that will be released shortly.

Edited. I have used AMD CPUs for years and they have dominated Intel in terms of performance, efficiency, and price for several years. With the introduction of the Core 2 Duo, Intel has taken the lead in performance and efficiency. AMD still has the advantage when it comes to price and hopefully that will enable them to weather the storm until they come out with a more competitive chip.

You mean the several-CPU-in-one-diecast variety? Not out yet so no one would have it now.

But multi-head system (several physical CPUs in one system) already around for years, I think the most numeric commercial server has 32 CPUs in one machine; else you gotta checkout IBM and Nasa.
