Now that more Americans have died in Iraq/Afghanistan
since 9/11/01 than all the people who died on 9/11/01, it's made
me realize the president and his party have only succeeded
taking our country down a path that will make 9/11/01 seem
like a walk in the park.

The Death Toll from 9/11/01 is capped, the number cannot increase.

The Death Toll in Iraq/Afghanistan has surpassed the 9/11/01 Toll
and is increasing every day (hour??)

No - I don't think that September 11th really changed me at all. I might be a little less trusting of my government, perhaps. But I don't think that this tragedy has effected me any more than any other horrible thing that has happened to innocent people in this or any other country.

I change all the time. I am far different than I was 20 years ago, or 10 years ago, or 5 years ago. But I don't think I can point to any event outside of my personal life and say that it has changed me.

September 11th was the first major event that will be written into history that I've lived through. It was a real shock, and I still get chills when it is mentioned or I see footage. Unfortunately, I've also witnessed the rise and fall of the unity as Americans that we had for a while after that tragic day.

It made me realize that we should enjoy our life. We sometimes take things for granted. After September 11 I joined the fire department.

It hasn't. I endured years of IRA terrorism in London with people being killed so it was more of the same as far as I was concerned. People kill each other - the rest of us get on with life and living.
