Hard to say....what do you do? and what have you been studying?
Here how it went for me
Get your concept down tight, produce what ever it maybe. Make it perfect and beautiful. Then the hard part, Target the market you think can use your whatever (song, video, art). Be as creative looking for clients or contracts however it will work. Get any publicity you can get. Then go looking for more.

First ask yourself if I didn't need the money what would I do. Then do that and figure out a way to get paid.
