It could still be the battery. There could be enough power to turn everything on but not enough to start the car. It could also be solenoid or the starter.

If nothing happens (apart from the lights coming on) its your starter motor. If you cant hear it turning, (youll definately hear it if it is) then you need to open the bonnet and tap it with something heavy, but you dont need to wack it.
If its on the way out this will get you going, but you will need to either recondition it (costs about a quid) or get a new one (can cost up to 200 quid).....

I thought they stopped making the RODEO 1998.... it could be your starter, if its not turning over that may be the problem, unless you have a loose connection on the battery. if it tries to turn over it's not the starter, then it could be the alternator. Call you roadside service and have it towed to your machanic...

It sounds like it could be your starter. If it was the alternator, you wouldn't have things like your radio come on. Does it click when you try to start it?

Maybe you need a new car. This is an old SUV...invest in a fuel-efficient sedan, that will solve all your problems.
If you don't have the money to do this, take it to the mechanic's.
