Like, how do they do it with a needle or gun? And some people say that you shouldn't get it done because it leaves a hole in your nose and it never grows in, is that true?

They pierce your nose by hand. It's the earing w/ this around it and they poke it and the little "container" surrounding it comes out from the other side of the hole.

I had my nose pierced 3 times. A 18 or 20 inch gauge needle is used to puncture the nose in a quick, painless stab. The needle is hallow at the end and that's is where the nose bone/screw is. If the bone is out for a short time, the hole will grow back, that's why I had mind done 3 times

I got it done with a needle. they usually put a dot on your nose with a marker and if you are ok with its position they pierce it their. Once pieced and kept like that i mean with a pin or a ring inside for a long time say a year or so then it will grow in but there will be a permanent mark left on the nose.

a needle is used. i had my septum done at age 19 and still have the hole,i wear it very seldom. I also had the bridge of my nose done as well, you can see the hole marks. I have not tried putting that in for 2 years now so i am not sure on that one.

NEVER NEVER let anyone do it with a gun ever! It may leave a small tiny mark if you take it out, but that is your decision. It depends on how you body is as to whether it grows over or not, some people have their ears pierced for 15 years or more, and as soon as they leave out their earrings, it closes over (like myself), so it just depends. Please go to a proper body piercer if you are going to get it done, and remember: NO GUN

they can use either in my experience i had it done with an ear piercing gun not the needle- only because the beauticians i got it done at didnt have a needle, i had no probs with my piercing at all, and i often take my nose stud out when im working through the day as piercings arent allowed, if i leave it out for longer than 24 hours my hole starts closing up
same with my labret piercing

I got my nose pierced when I was sixteen, and whoever told you that the hole won't fill in is full of it. You can't even tell I ever had mine done. To do it, they use a gun like any other piercing, that shoves the stud right through. It stings, but it doesn't hurt like getting your belly button pierced.

They do it with a gun. It's never a good idea to pierce sensitive mucous membranes. There's a higher risk of infection.
