There were no home entertainment system, unless you are talking about the wealthy aristocrats who patronize entertainers to perform plays in their mansions/palaces and such.

Workers probably made 50 bucks a year? Maybe less. A pound of meat back then cost pennies.

In those days they were lucky if they earned 10 cents a day I'm not sure but in those days they grew everything.I don't think they had anything in those days

about $800.00 a year ... most had their own gardens & they had had community social gatherings & news papers. dime novels & travelling side shows were entertainment.
